Monthly Club Cards

These are the cards we made at my upline's house last night for our club meeting. I love the first card, and had seen it in a previous issue of Stampin' Success (the monthly demo magazine). The sets we used were Stitched Exotics, Pretty Petals, and Be Happy. We randomly scored the Pretty Petals sheet after stamping it, and then punched out the 1 3/8 circles. Then we stamped the "smile" piece with Purely Pomegranate, and covered it with Versamark and clear embossed it. Then we punched it out and layered it over the larger circle. The other two cards use the Embrace Life set. (Neither one of my images on those ended up centered on the black layer somehow.) These cards were both very simple and easy to make. The image on the second card is stamped on shimmery paper.

Masculine Workshop card

This will probably be the masculine card that I do at my mom's workshop. The set is Thoughts of Father. The Afternoon Tea DP and Polytwill ribbon are in the mini catalog. I also used Wild Wasabi Textured Cardstock since there is a new special on that. I added paper piercing to the bottom because I wanted to use my new piercing mat.

Waterfall card for Workshop

I thought I had already posted this, but I guess I didn't. This is the waterfall card we will be making at an upcoming workshop. I cased it from SCS. The set is Baroque Motifs. I also used the Totally Tabs set, along with the Scallop Circle punch and the Round Tab punch.

Pocket Card for Workshop

I am starting to prepare for my first workshop. We will be making this pocket card using Stitched Exotics. The Flower is punched using the 5 petal flower punch. A Scalloped circle is behind it, with a rhinestone brad in the middle. I used the new striped ribbon too. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and is framed by a stamp from Frames with a Flourish. The DSP is Rose Red. I am also posting a card for George's 9 year old god son that I made yesterday. I still don't like something about it, but after rearranging it for a long time, I just gave up. He's only 9, so he'll just look for the money inside and throw it away most likely. It has the poly-twill ribbon that will be in the new mini on it.

Baroque Coasters

I forgot to post these last night. I made a set of 4 of these for a co-worker of George's. Their decor is red, brown, and black, so those are the colors I used with Baroque Motifs. I'm going to spray them today since it's supposed to be around 70 degrees.

Craft Spots

I've been using my newly acquired craft spots to make some cards. For the first card, I used Rose Red craft ink and put heat n stick powder on it, then added dazzling diamonds to the Priceless heart. The Purely Pomegranate paper is textured, with some Wild Wasabi ribbon layered on. I added a rub-on sentiment too. The second card is for Color challenge 154 (Orchid Opulence, Pumpkin Pie, and Certainly Celery) and Sketch challenge 163 on SCS. I used the set Always, and stamped the bird in Pumpkin Pie Craft ink. Then I used Ultra Think Embossing Enamel (UTEE) to set it. The sentiment is from the SAB set Lots of Thoughts. I just colored the sentiment that I wanted with the Orchid Opulence marker and stamped it onto the round tab.

Bloomin'

The daffodils at the school where I work have started to bloom, so I made a card with the Bloomin' Beautiful set that will be in the upcoming SU! mini catalog. I've been too sick to stamp (GASP!) for over a week now, and in that week and a half, I've gotten my starter kit, and a big order of new stuff that I haven't even felt like playing with. Hopefully as I feel better I will be able to find some time to play (Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up and I have to write progress and summary reports this weekend :P).

SAB Rub-ons

I made this vase in about 5 minutes for my "secret friend" at work. I used the Old Olive Rub-ons from the SAB promotion, tied on some 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain, and added a Coral scallop circle with a white Rub-on Flower and large green rhinestone brad. Very quick and easy, and I like the way it looks! I'll have to make one for myself.

(Im)patiently waiting on my starter kit

My SU! demo starter kit will be arriving manana. In the meantime, I made a clipboard for my secret friend at work using the Looks Like Spring DP and some flowers from the build a flower kit. Then I made a card for a color challenge (Real Apricot Blues) on SCS using Heartfelt Thanks. I created the scallops at the bottom of the card with the slit punch. I also added some dew drops to it.

Another pocket card

I made another pocket card today. This card is going to be part of a packet of 4 that I will be giving to my "secret friend" at work. We are supposed to give $1 gifts Mon.-Wed., then a $5 gift on Thurs. I have a stamped box (see Jan. 23 post) that I filled with her favorite kind of gum and shredded/crimped DP for Monday's gift. The cards will be for Tues. and I'm about to make a small clipboard for Wed. Still thinking of something for Thursday. I was going to do rub-ons on a small glass vase, but I don't think my SAB order will be here by Thursday now because of "Adverse Weather Conditions."

CASED cards

I cased these cards from SCS. If I find the original posters again, I will post the links. I thought they were in my favorites, but I can't find them now.

Jaylon likes stamps

I had to post this picture of my cat Jaylon laying on top of my stamps. I had some friends coming over to stamp and had laid some sets on the bed so that they could see their options. Jaylon came along, and I thought he would lay beside the stamps, but instead he laid directly on top of 3 or 4 sets of stamps. I don't know how it was very comfortable, but he seemed to like it. I am also posting a card I made last night that I had made as an example for my friends. I used the Looks like Spring set and matching punch, Apple Cider DP, a rhinestone brad, and some small adhesive rhinestones to give it some bling.

Pocket Card

Here is my first pocket card. The tutorial with measurements is on splitcoaststampers.com. The stamp set is True Friend. I used Chocolate Chip and Wild Wasabi paper, with Apple Cider DP. I added some green gems that I had for a little bling.

This week's sketch challenge

The first card I made tonight using this week's sketch challenge. The other 2 cards I made at my upline's house for stamp club. We also made a punch template using all of her punches. I had been meaning to make one for a while, but just never got around to it. It's a great tool to use with the catalog to see which punch to use for different stamp sets. I'm going to get lots of use from it. We had six strips of naturals white paper, and then used all of the punches on them (all circles on one strip, all squares on another strip, stars and tabs on another strip, etc.) and connected them by a ring.

I'm a demo!

I just signed up to be a demo! Can't wait till my kit arrives. I have only stamped one day this week at a stamp camp because I've been trying to decide on my kit contents, and what I'm going to order for my first big order. Hopefully I'll be posting some cards later on tonight or tomorrow.
