Merry Christmas!

This was a very quick card, as I was running out of time to finish when I made it. I stamped a snowflake from Patterned Pines, then swiped shimmer paint over it to make it kinda sparkly. The Merry Christmas is from the Four Christmas mini set. The ribbon is a retired Original twill.

Finishing Christmas Cards

I was frantically trying to finish the last of my Christmas Cards today so that I could give them to co-workers tomorrow. However, we now have a SNOW DAY tomorrow!! So now I have more time to finish. I only have to make two more. For the first card, I used Patterned Pines and Teeny Tiny Wishes. For the second card, I used Trees Three. The snowflakes were stamped with the Shimmer Paint to look sparkly. I copied the design of this card from a birthday card that my mom made for me this summer.

Preview-Clear Mount Set

I used the new Vintage Vogue (in clear mount) on this card. The sketch was SC255. I used the big and little flower stamps from this set in versamark to make a design on the Rich Razzleberry background. The DP is Autumn Meadows from the Holiday mini. I stamped the main image in Tempting Turqoise, then took the flower swirl stamp in Soft Suede (stamped off twice) and stamped it all over the main panel. I used one of the current Ribbon Originals layered on TT for the horizontal piece. That ribbon matched well with the stamp set.

Buddy the Elf, What's your Favorite Color?

The first card is based on SC246. I used a retired set called Merry Elves, which I think is so cute. The second card is for WSC97. The set I used is called Snow Globe. All of my cards seem to be the same color scheme because I am trying to use up last year's DSP.

Trying to finish Christmas Cards

I am using some old sketch challenges that I hadn't gotten around to yet to try and finish up my Christmas Cards. The first card is for SC247. I used Peaceful Wishes and some retired DSP. The second card is for SC244. The set is Cold and Cuddly from the mini. I used a Window sheet as the background. I hadn't used them yet, but I liked them.

WSC95

I used the hostess set Out of the Box for this one. The cupcake is up on a dimensional. The Bella Rose DSP is retired. My layers aren't quite like they are in the sketch, but I had cut the pieces before I realized.

Another Sketch

The first card is for WSC93. I stamped one of the Serene Snowflakes in Silver ink on Shimmery White paper. (I couldn't get a good picture of it.) I cut the circle and scallop circle with Nestabilities. The sentiment is from the Christmas Punch hostess set. I also used a corduroy button. The second card's image is from Wandering Words in the mini. I thought it was kinda plain, so I tried using the color sprayer with a red marker, and then it looked strange I thought, but oh well. I used the tag corner punch on the corners, and I also used the corner flourish from Patterned Pines on each end of the tag.

Sketches

The first card is for SCS242. I inked up the paisly tree from Patterned Pines for the main image. The paper is last year's mini DSP. The second card is for WSC92. I used Delightful Decorations and the ornament punch as the main image.

WSC90

I made this card using WSC90, a sketch from this summer. I've been saving up all these sketches in my inbox, and I am going to get them all done sometime. The main image is one of the sentiments from the mini set Four Christmas. The RHR flowers on each end are from Patterned Pines. I also stamped the 3 snowflake stamp from Snowflake Serenade all over the oval piece in Pink Pirouette, but it doesn't really show in the picture. The oval and scalloped oval were cut with Nestabilities. The DSP is from last year's holiday mini. I still love that paper, and I will be sad when it's all gone. I'm also almost out of the RHR taffeta. I don't think I've used up a whole roll of ribbon yet, but I really liked that kind. It was so easy to tie.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The first card is a Thanksgiving card that I made using leftovers from the second card. The set is called Gifts of the Earth. I also used the Thanksgiving sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The second card is for a co-worker who will be having a little boy in January. We're having a surprise shower for in a few weeks. The "Beautiful Little Baby" stamp is from the Under $10 section of the catalog.

That's what it's all about

I made the first card for a co-worker who gave me a whole bag full of Stampin' Up! sets, and paper! The flower and sentiment are from Kind and Caring Thoughts, a Level 3 set. I stamped it first with Kiwi Kiss, then used a sponge dauber in Rich Razzleberry to put color on the edges of the flower. The second card is also for a co-worker. She has been stressed about meetings last week, and they continue this week, so I thought this sentiment from Smarty Pants is perfect since we're elementary teachers. I colored the flowers from the pretties kit with markers to make them match. I stamped some circles from Circle Circus in Versamark on the blue as a background.

Stamping on Twill Tape

The first card I made by stamping the bowl from Gifts of the Earth on Twill Tape and coloring it with markers. I used the Autumn Meadows DP, some ribbon from the mini, and some retired ribbon from a Ribbon Originals pack.

The 2nd card I made with the Dasher stamp, which I really like. It is on the under $10 page. I cut it out with nestabilities, and layered it on top of a piece of retired DSP, which I meant to emboss with a texture plate, but I put the wrong side up, so it is debossed. I used some more ribbon from one of the current originals, and a retired felt flurry.

Gifts of the Earth

This Autumn Meadows DP is my favorite! The stamps are from Gifts of the Earth set in the mini catalog. I also used a buckle from the retired HPH. The sentiment says "For all the good gifts that your kindness imparts, remind us dear Lord, to give thanks with our hearts."

Halloween Cards

I made these cards using scraps from last weekend's workshop. The DP is Night and Day from the mini catalog. The stamps are from Halloween Hoot and House of Haunts. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig a lot with these cards.

More Sweet Centers

I had to make a card with Sweet Centers using the Skittles I bought before I ate all of them! The clouds, sentiment, and grass are from Dreams and Dragons, an old retired set. I really need to figure out how to make the pull tabs for these so that people don't have to tear up the card to get the candy! The second card has a stamp from Wandering Words that I colored with markers. I love this DSP! The ribbon is from an old Ribbon Originals pack.

Ornament Card

This is the 2nd card we will be doing at an upcoming workshop. The base is Real Red. The Ballet Blue is layered on Always Artichoke on top of Creamy Caramel with a scallop border punched bottom. The BB layer has Serene Snowflakes stamped on it using the Shimmer Paint. I stamped the ornaments in AA, CC, and Night of Navy, and punched them out with the ornament punch. A fire rhinestone is in the middle of the CC one, and Silver String is tied around the NoN ornament. The ribbon is the Polka-Dot RR ribbon, with the dots facing down. The sentiment is from Teeny, Tiny Wishes and is punched with the Word Window, layered on the Modern Label.

Double Flap Card

This is cased from SCS. It is a double flap card. I am probably going to use this at an upcoming workshop. The BG paper is Night and Day DSP from the mini. The images are all from Halloween Hoot. The first card is the front image, the second is the left panel (2nd image) and the 3rd is the right panel (last image). I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig a lot on this card!

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

I made the first card simple, since it will be the index card for the Forever stamp on Splitcoaststampers.com. I used Bermuda Breeze, Melon Mambo, one of the embossing folders from SU!, and the Forever stamp. The ribbon is the dotton Rich Razzleberry with the dots facing down. The Sweet Centers card has Night and Day DSP from the mini on it. I put candy corn in the cup. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Back again!

I am finally able to stamp again, since most of my stuff is unpacked. I decided to make some pretty simple cards, since I haven't stamped for over a month. The first card's base is Bermuda Bay, with a Cameo Coral layer on top that has a texture plate design on it. The image is from the under $10 page in the back of the catty. Added to that is a strip of Thoroughly Modern DP, a large grommet, and Soft Suede ribbon. The next card I made to try out the Sweet Treat cups. I stamped snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes in Versamark onto Glorious Green CS. Then I used the Silver Encore ink to stamp the ornament top onto Whisper White. I punched out the circle with the 1 3/4 punch. Inside the treat cup are Red Hots. The ribbon is from the mini catty.

Love

Tomorrow is my parent's 34th anniversary. I made this card for them. The background is French Filigree, stamped in Cameo Coral ink. The main image and hearts are from the Love you Much set. I used the Heart to Heart punch to punch out the little hearts. I used the Boho Blossoms punch for the flower and put a silver sticker in the middle. The ribbon is Bermuda Bay, with the polka dot side facing down.

I made this yesterday with a retired set that I just bought. It's called Prehistoric Party. It was colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and a blender pen. I used the new Extreme Elements set as a background.

Catching up on Sketch Challenges

I spent some time Friday stamping with my mom and her friend. We stamped for 4 hours and I only got 4 cards made! The first card I made using an old set called Darling Dragons. I wish I had run the NQN piece through the big shot with a texture plate, but I didn't think about it until it was put together. The second card is SC229. I will probably use this for an upcoming workshop. It features the Razzle Dazzle set, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, and the in color markers and paper. The 3rd card is an anniversary card for my brother and sister-in-law who were married one year ago tomorrow. The set is Season of Friendship and the
sentiment is from Very Versatile (Occassions mini set). The last card was very quick and easy. I used WSC89 from Beate's blog. The paper is Holiday Treasures from last year's holiday mini, and the sentiment is from Christmas Punches Level 2 Hostess set.

Pendant Park

I had a few minutes this afternoon, so I made this quick and easy card using Pendant Park and some scraps on my stampin table. Hope to post some more card this week! I haven't had much time to stamp this summer it seems like.

SCS236 with new sets~

The first card is similar to a card from the catalog. I used the Medallion BG stamp, with a build-a-brad in the middle, and a saying from Dreams Du Jour. I also used the Friendly Words wheel in versamark across the bottom of the card. The rick-rack is from one of the new Ribbon Originals. I also used Ribbon Originals on the second card. I made this for this week's sketch challenge. I layered a retired Saffron one over the new NQN one in the Elementary package. The image and sentiment here are from Peace Within, and the DP is Bella Blue. I added a mini library clip and some retired gingham ribbon because it was "missing something."

Sketches 234 and 235

The first card is for SCS234. I used a Gina K set, Comfort and Peace I think is the name. The DP is a retired one, Parisian Summer. I used the wide oval punch on the sentiment, then punched two curly labels out of Regal Rose to use as a layer. The 2nd card is for SCS 235. It is square. I used Raspberry Tart DP and punched the circles with the 1 3/8" circle. I added some Designer Hardward, a fleurette, and a button. The middle circle is stamped with 2 stamps from Circle Circus, with some pink pirouette ribbon running behind the middle row of circles.

Waiting on New Catty Stuff!

I placed my order yesterday from the new catalog, but still have stuff from preorder that I haven't played with yet. I used two of those sets today. The first image is from a level 2 hostess set called Wings of Friendship. I used the In Color markers to ink it up. It is on a layer of Bermuda Bay, which is layered on Crushed Curry Textured cardstock on a Melon Mambo base. I used the florish from the set to add to the CC Textured paper. I also used a mini library clip and one of the designer brads from the last catalog. For the 2nd card, I used Razzle Dazzle, also inked with markers. I used Soft Sky with Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry. The ribbon is Rose Red 1 in. ribbon, with a strip of CC textured paper across the bottom. The flourish under the bottom right corner of the Razzle Dazzle is from Wings of Friendship.
