Back again....but only for a bit

Well, it's been a very busy month for me, and I haven't been in my apartment much to stamp. I've made 2 trips to WV and 2 trips to Augusta, GA in the last 3 weeks, so I haven't stamped AT ALL! And now, it's getting closer to time for us to move to GA, so I've already begun to pack up some things that I PROBABLY won't need in the next couple of weeks (except I packed up my black organdy ribbon which I don't even think I've used yet, and guess what? I wanted it for this card, haha! How ironic is that?!?) I'm going to try and squeeze in some stamping time in the next 2 weeks because after that, I'll be in Charlotte until the school year is over, and my stamps and stuff will be in Augusta. I've got stamp camp tomorrow, and I have to go back to Augusta next week, plus I've got to pack, so I probably won't get to stamp as much as I'd like. Anyway, for this card, I used the Kind Thoughts set which I got for free for buying/selling over a certain amount during SAB. I used white as a card base, which I rarely do. Then I used black and white photo corners that were leftover from another card I made a while back. I put adhesive pearls on them because I've packed up my white eyelets. I found some white with black stitched ribbon, then layered Turquoise ribbon over that. I finished it off with one of my new buttons from the Fresh Favorites collection. Hopefully I'll post some more cards soon!

SC169

Here's my card that I made for SC 169. I'm a few weeks behind with the challenges. This card ended up totally different from what I had in mind to begin with because the skinny, long rectangle was hard to find a good image for. I used Doodle This, and put Dazzling Diamonds on the flower using my Versamarker with Heat and Stick Powder. I also used the new Silver hodgepodge hardware.

Variations on a Theme

It's been awhile since I last posted. I was getting ready for my first workshop, plus looking for jobs and places to live (I'm moving to Augusta, GA when the school year is over). I finally had some time today to stamp. I used the leftover cardstock pieces (So Saffron, Soft Sky, Rose Red, and Confetti White) from one of my workshop cards to create three different cards. For the first card, I used the Merci set along with French Script BG stamped in Sahara Sand. I added a jumbo eyelet with Purely Pom. ribbon for accessories. The second card has the flower from Garden Whimsy as the main image. I also used the Priceless set on this card. I rounded all the corners to give it a softer look. On the third card, I clear embossed the bird from Always after stamping in Rose Red Craft Ink. I used a Styled Silver brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware that's available in the current mini for the middle of the A in always. The corner punch is by EK Success called ZigZag.
